Taylor Homes Group has been in the homebuilding and real estate business in Bartlesville and surrounding communities since 1958. “Fill up the back of the shovel…”
When I was a teenager working job sites in our homebuilding business, my Grandpa Ross Taylor (pictured below) would tell me to “Fill up the back of the shovel and the front will take care of itself.” Seemed incredibly obvious to me at the time, but over the years, I’ve come to understand that phrase as a maxim forThe Taylor Homes Group. It means, don’t take shortcuts…work smart…be efficient…take pride in what you do. Our family has been building fine homes in the northeastern Oklahoma and southeastern Kansas regions since 1958. Our vision is to build homes that transcend bricks and sticks. Our objective is creating comfortable living spaces that feel like home inside and out.

We aim high and strive to stay a cut above in each unique market in which we build. It is indeed ever-present in our thoughts, our lives, our economy and yes, our homes. Our pledge to make your home more green begins with our notion of leaving the world a better place for our children, but that notion also fattens your purse when you pay less each month for utilities. Low E & argon windows. Tankless Rheemwater heaters that only use energy when you need hot water. Tyvek house wrap & window tape. R-38 blown fiberglass ceiling insulation. Programmable thermostats. Our approach to green really does return green to your wallet. We are also blue in our approach. The blue of Energy Star Partners. Our homes have Energy Star signs in the yard and an Energy Star approved label affixed to the electrical panel. This assures you that you are purchasing a verified and confirmed energy efficient home. Our most recent HERS ratings have been below 65 (less is better...like golf). A rating of 100 is the average of code built homes. a zero rating means your home consumes no energy. A rating of 85 qualifies a home to be an Energy Star home and we pay an independent rater to inspect and rate our homes. Our recent ratings below 65 mean we've gone the extra mile with Tankless hot water heaters, foil-backed roof decking and programmable thermostats among other features. Don't buy without the assurance that you are buying an efficient home.
